👮‍♂️ WORKING TOGETHER TO KEEP OUR COMMUNITY SAFE FOR FAMILIES 🇰🇾

I recently met with senior officers from the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service's Community Policing team to discuss how we can strengthen our partnership and work together to better serve the people of Red Bay.

During our meeting, I shared updates on ongoing constituency initiatives and upcoming community events. We also explored opportunities to collaborate on future activities, including community road cleanups and other initiatives that bring residents together.

Importantly, we discussed concerns raised by members of our community and how continued communication and cooperation can help address them.

I appreciate the officers taking the time to meet and their continued commitment to community policing.

Keeping our neighbourhoods safe, welcoming and family-friendly is a shared responsibility. Strong partnerships between residents, community leaders and the police are an important part of that effort.

⚠️ POSTPONED - Reggae on the Lawn Concert ⚠️

Because heavy rain is forecast for this Saturday, 17 October, we have had to postpone the concert.

We’ll share the new date in about a week. Thank you for understanding.

Stay safe, and please stay tuned for updates! 🎶⛈️

🏀 Progress at Eddie Sanchez Community Park!

I'm pleased to share another update on the basketball and pickleball court development at Eddie Sanchez Community Park in Red Bay.

The court surface is now paved, and work continues on the basketball facilities as we move closer to bringing this important community space into use.

This project is about more than sports. It's about creating a safe, welcoming space where our children and young people can stay active, families can come together, and residents of all ages can enjoy healthy recreation.

There is still work to be done, including landscaping and lighting, but it's encouraging to see the progress being made.

Thank you to everyone involved in helping move this project forward.

Looking forward to seeing our Red Bay community enjoying these facilities!

Connecting Business, Parliament and the Future of Cayman 🇰🇾

It was a pleasure attending the 2026 Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce Parliamentary Luncheon, an important opportunity for dialogue between elected representatives and the business community.

It was good to catch up with fellow Progressives member Pearlina McGaw-Lumsden and other attendees.

Our business community plays a vital role in Cayman's development, and continued engagement between Parliament and the private sector is essential to understanding the challenges and opportunities ahead.

Thank you to the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce for organising this important event.
